The final day was exciting!
Aline Krauter, Sofie Kibsgaard and Mike Toorop win the 13. Allianz German Boys & Girls Open 2016!
Over and over thunderstorm clouds and due to thunderstorm the tournament had to be suspended. The whole tournament was a little victimized by the weather and in the ende the final round of the tournament was canceled through the long interruption. Therefore the results of the second round were the final results at the same time.
Aline Krauter from Germany and Sofie Kibsgaard ffrom Denmark (both -8) are both win the 13. Allianz German Boys & Girls Open hosted by Golf Club St.Leon-Rot. Since 2007 the boys winner were all German but not so this year. The Dutchman Mike Toorop won the boys title with 8 under par, one stroke in front of Matias Honkala from Finland. Third place claims also a Dutchman, Maarten van Mourik, who played 6 under par.
In the Nations Cup the boys from team Denmark II catched the win, with its players Gustav Frimodt, Victor Bjorlow and Marcus Garflield Hansen, in front of Czech Republic I and Germany II.
The Girls Nations Cup claimed Team Schweden I, with Amanda Linner, Maja Stark und Frida Kinhult. France I came second and Italy I took third place.
How much impact the tournament in St. Leon-Rot has, underlined winner Mike Toorop after the price giving: "This win means a lot to me. I was here for the first time and I will come back next year."
