Dear golf friends,
Since the founding of our Golf Club, one of our key objectives has been to support the next generation of sporting talents and to promote young golfers, also at a competitive level.
Therefore, we are both pleased and proud to host the "German Boys and Girls Open" for the 18th time in our golf club in 2022, the year of the 25th anniversary of our Golf Club.
Our objective is to offer an attractive competition for the best young talents from Europe and the whole world. To this end, we have made special preparations for this year's "German Boys and Girls Open 2022" during the winter season with maintenance and renovation measures on the St. Leon course.
We are looking forward to this summer with confidence and to an attractive competition under the usual outstanding conditions. The safety of all participants is of particular importance to us, and we will ensure this by way of implementing an appropriate hygiene concept. This way, we can look forward to a competition in which friendly cooperation, the quality of play, and the sporting perspective are the focus.
A big thank you goes out to our members, who always support youth and competitive sports. We would also like to thank our partner, the German Golf Association, as well as the numerous supporters and together, we can look forward to a first-class competition where we wish all participants fun, excitement, and many new friendships.
May all participants play their strongest golf and may the best golfers win!
With sporty greetings
President of the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot

Dear golf enthusiasts,
The sporting competition between the best young players in Europe restores a bit of normality, especially in these times, and it also shows, in a figurative sense, how Europe stands together. Therefore, I am particularly pleased that more than 200 young people under the age of 18 from 20 nations will once again come together here in St. Leon-Rot for a sporting and fair competition at the 18th edition of the German Boys & Girls Open.
Thanks to its sporting quality and professional organization, the tournament, which was held for the first time in 2004, has consistently gained international importance over the years and is an integral part of the European tournament calendar for ambitious young golfers. Each competition at the highest level is an important component for the development of young athletes.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Club President Daniel Hopp and all the full-time and voluntary staff of Golf Club St. Leon-Rot for their tireless efforts. The three tournament days of the German Boys & Girls Open are sure to be another special and unforgettable experience for the participants this year - and not only from a sporting point of view.
I wish you all a successful tournament and unforgettable sporting and personal moments at the start of what I hope will be an outstanding golfing year in 2022.
Claus M. Kobold
President of the German Golf Association
