As the four-time venue for Deutsche Bank - SAP Open, the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot has written international golf history. This traditional tournament was held in St. Leon-Rot just one year after the opening. The events of the following years in the course of the Deutsche Bank - SAP Open belong to the history of golf for many.

Together with our partner club Gut Kaden, together with thousands of enthusiastic spectators, we experienced unforgettable hours and the elite of the international golf scene. Even today, golf legends such as the three-time winner Tiger Woods, superstar Lee Westwood and golf professional Colin Montgomerie rave about the unique atmosphere and the great courses of Golf Club St. Leon-Rot.

The list of top international stars that we have had the pleasure of welcoming over the past few years would be too long to fully reflect them here.

We would like to thank you on behalf of Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie, Trevor Immelmann, Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els, Alexander Cejka, Nick Price, Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Mark Pilkington, Michael Campbell, Marc O`Meara and all those have given us great moments in golf with their passion and skill. Thank you!

Our partner club Gut Kaden continued the tournament from 2005 to 2007 under the name "Deutsche Bank Players' Championship".

The 2015 Solheim Cup exceeded our wildest expectations! Two first class teams delivered an exciting head-to-head competition - supported by 70,000 fans at the course and millions world wide who followed the event on TV, App and social media platforms. Around 900 volunteers did their part despite the inclement weather and helped make the mega event one that was highly praised by the players, caddies, team staff, fans, press representatives as well as our partners and sponsors alike. It was an impressive achievement for our sport, for women‘s golf and for Germany as the host country of this mega sporting event.

This was the first time that this event was broadcast live on German public televison, allowing us to reach one million people all over Germany and to win many new friends, overcome old cliches and inspire the next generation. The sport of golf was truly seen from its best side!

That the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club, as the promoter and organizer of the event, was able to do this is due to the many friends, partners and sponsors who worked together in very different ways to make The 2015 Solheim Cip so successful.

All of these sponsors, associations, suppliers, clubs, agencies and especially those persons involved on site deserve our thanks, deserve my personal thanks and my recognition. They have achieved something great! Thanks also to John Solheim and his family for “the gift of the Solheim Cup”.

It was a good decision to bring The 2015 Solheim Cup to the St. Leon- Rot Golf Club and this has made us proud, happy and very grateful.
